The next day, we entered the town of Neverwinter. After being paid 10 gp by the store owner, we went to the local tavern and inn, to learn about the town so that our wise and powerful DM could once again railroad us into his schemes and plans for the adventure. After renting a comfortable room and buying a beer boot*, RN, a PC joining our group, entered. I said hi in Draconic (as I knew common, dwarven, orcish, draconic, and elvish from my race, class, and background) and RN tried to punch me.
And missed.
I eventually pacified RN with the half-empty boot of beer, and we all went up to the room to sleep. The next day, after I told CT I wanted to buy 5 gallons of ale, the barkeeper refused me, so I hit him with a chair. (goodbye, Lawful Good allignment). I bought it all for half price, then PT (playing with the same character sheet, his only explanation was that he was a baby born from his character before he died) bit his thumb off. The innkeeper died, and all eyes were on us.
"IT WAS THAT DEMON BABY! HE DID IT!" *Natural 20(and a +4 for my charisma) persuasion.
He took 30 damage and died as an unrecognizable, club-beaten mess. I threw money and told the townspeople to kill the redbrands, who had been bandits, and it worked.... kind of.
